Maestro Sladkovsky - the People's Artist of Russia, artistic director and chief conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan - has founded the International Festival named after Sergey Rachmaninov "White Lilac" in Kazan in 2011.

For nine years, the festival brought together many prominent Russian and foreign musicians. The festival "White Lilac" is dedicated to the memory of Sergei Rachmaninov.
