Sergei Rachmaninov Award has been conferred in 2013 by Rachmaninov Society in Moscow and Charity Promotion Fund the development of musical culture “Belcanto”.

The honorary award is conferred on individuals who take a special interest in Rachmaninov’s work and spirit and is intended to support and pay tribute to their work.

The President and founder of the Sergei Rachmaninov International Award Russian pianist Violetta Egorova.

 

The bronze figure of Sergei Rachmaninov covered with 24k gold presented with the award is modeled by Russian artist Alexander Egorov. The figure weighs 1600 grams and 25 centimeters.

The first  awarding ceremony 2013l took place at the Moscow Conservatory by Tchaikovsky on 25th of October at 19.00 at Myaskovsky Hall.
